A glimpse of Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin peeking through the trees from Spandauer Damm road when we visited on our 1st wedding anniversary. There were so many palaces on our trip, that we couldn’t tour them all. Their website shows magnificent interior photos.
About the Palace
Charlottenburg Palace, a Baroque masterpiece in Berlin, Germany, was commissioned by Sophie Charlotte, wife of Friedrich III, Elector of Brandenburg. Built-in the late 17th and expanded in the 18th century, it features lavish interior decoration and is surrounded by a large formal garden. Despite being damaged in World War II, the palace has been reconstructed and is a major tourist attraction.
