Photo of the day #48

Random photo from my collection.
This photo is from the same New York trip as POTD #32. My brother and I took a bus from the old Charcoal Diner bus stop in Wescosville to New York City. You can see a reflection in the bus window at the top right of the photo. It might have been the first time I went to NYC on my own without driving my car. When it comes to public transportation I feel unexperienced.
Incidentally, we’re planning a trip to Europe where we will only have public transportation and I feel fine about it. But I’ve done extensive research ahead of time.
I’ve never hailed a taxi, I’ve never had an Uber account, or ordered an Uber/Lyft/etc. I’ve only flown in an airplane a handful of times. When I’m in a city with friends I rely on their ability to organize and plan transportation. I know, I hear it all the time “It’s not hard”. But I’ve always felt at home in my car and in control with the freedom and independence that having a car gives. Plus, I’ve just not needed public transportation all that much where I live.
