Wedding Photography
Photo of the day #12
October 16, 2021
Random photo from my collection.
When asked if I do weddings, this is usually one that I think of. Zac, his aunt, and I all knocked it out of the park photography for his cousin Nicole’s wedding to Ramon. I felt like the pressure was off with it being family and really comfortable atmosphere. Over the years, I’ve been back and forth about wedding photography. I always felt like I should do it because that’s the way to make money with photography. But the idea of it normally brings on feelings of anxiety. You can’t redo weddings. You can redo product photography, engagement photos, and some other photos. But you get one chance to get the photo of the bride and groom’s first kiss. I probably take it too seriously. Having worked for a wedding photography studio editing thousands of wedding photos and designing hundreds of wedding albums, I have a little insight into the wedding photography dynamics. Just like any customer service industry, you have great customers and sometimes more difficult customers. It’s the fear of possibly working with the latter that has deterred me.
